Education and care of deviant youth -
course plan for teachers

This course dealing with the problem of deviancy wishes to dissolve the fears and doubts concerning to this phenomenon. It offers the possibility of intervention both on theoretical and in practical level.
The transformation of the thinking is aimed so that it emphasize not the students' achievements or manifested behavior, but their personality; according to this understanding, the process of teaching-learning - as a part of the helping work - is considered as complexity of effects of personal relations. The treatment of deviancy is a complex intervention reacting on deviant life guidance as a whole at the place where it appears; for this kind of work specially educated professionals are needed.
The treatment of deviancy and young people with deviant patterns of behaviors can be learnt by one's own experiences based on practical studies. As their complementary part there is a great amount of theoretical approaches, which must be known as well; the theoretical material is always complemented by case descriptions.

The important component of the educational program is the list of concepts and detailed literature
